It has been a good run, but it is time to switch things up a bit. So, I have gone and made myself A NEW JOURNAL of 250% more awesomeness. It'll have a lot more reports on life, a healthy dose of sketches, and hopefully a smattering of other interesting things I find to share.

And it's pretty.

Rugby sevens...was amazing. God, could I pick a better sport to get into?

The other team was kicking our asses for the first half, but then we turned it around and won in the second half. Tackling was so much fun. We obviously weren't amazing because we hardly even know how to play the game, and we're very much out of shape, but the guys coaching us were impressed by our...aggression.

Nothing like good constructive aggression therapy. :)

And then in true rugby fashion, we drank beer, and it was wonderful.

So I go to the post office today, barely expecting any mail. Maybe some junk from amtrak or something.

I ran out of space for text messages on my phone, and looking through my inbox, I was met with dozens of adorable messages from Pri, almost all containing the word "babe" (particularly one where she just randomly texted me with "i wuv you"), messages from A-ray from when I was sick, and all the silly short messages Zach and I sent each other during L&T and the beginning of the year when we wanted someone to drag to dinner or were bored out of our minds.

Just slept right through my viola lesson by accident. Of course, to add insult to injury, i woke up exactly as it would have ended.

My alarm is set for 3:45. It's 6 in the evening.

How did I manage to make it through high school on less sleep than this? It must have been that amazing alarm clock I had...what was it called?

Oh yes. Mom. Mom every five minutes since the first four tries don't even reach my brain.

Today I learned to write my last name in Japanese, cut up a shirt without ruining it, listened to Velvet Underground, ate a green apple for the first time in weeks, had an amazing rugby practice which left me on an endorphin high for the rest of the night, played a fairly decent game of pool (even if I did lose on some technicality), watched Clerks, and met a very pretty girl with very pretty eyes.

In all, a very nice day.

Flying out tomorrow. A week of exercise and girlyness, and then to start my four years of trying to figure out how to make money out of art.

I laugh in ALL YOUR FACES because Bard's freshman hazing is best. Namely, I would be out of my mind right now if I had any more waiting to do.

For anyone who missed it...

Hey guys, just so you know, I'm alive, all limbs attached, and not planning to leave the house today. Meanwhile, trying to double-check that everyone in London I know is too...and gradually remembering more and more people who are still in the city. :/ :\

Two of my brother's friends flew in this morning to bunk at our place for geek tournaments. The first guy got here and told us there were bomb squads and police everywhere, which is why the tv is now playing nonstop. The other guy's probably stuck at the airport now.

So...yes, I'm off to try calling Mara a million times and make some tension pancakes.

Wandering into Books Etc, only recently recovered from illness, I wound my way over to my usual haunt. My eyes wandered up to the top of the comics rack, searching with little actual hope for a glimmer of awesome...and lo! My eyes caught on a white spine with simple black text on the side: F L I G H T. I immediately expected there must be a catch, it must be some other, less beautiful book of the same name. But oh, oh!

Apparently, later in life I'm designing one of Ted's album covers, and Mara's campaing banners. WHOO.

PHOTOS HERE. The second image on there is my montage - some of my concentration pieces photoshopped together, with a summary of my theme.

The gallery went well. Sadly...no one asked to buy anything, which makes me emosad, since I don't want to be stuck with a million old paintings. But oh well. It was all good because I got to hang all over the many hot people in studio <3 And harrass Ms Wasley, as usual.

JEN IS BACK! Well, I'm going to make some semblance of an effort to pay attention to lj again, anyway. Not too much, I wouldn't want to do myself an injury, but hey, I've got a Greg icon now that I need to find excuses to use other than macking on Carrot.
